Cardio // Skipping.

I have recently got into more cardio training, which for me is skipping. I did try jogging but I had to make time for it! Skipping is more simple for me I can pop outside and do 10-20mins or however long and feel great and don't have to travel anywhere.

I started off doing basic 'girly jump' skipping legs together arms at the sides then advanced more into 'the khan khan', 'straddle' and double skipping. I just like to mix things up and skip into variations when one becomes too samey.

It gets more of a challenge as you get tired, start to slow down or feel the rope hit under your feet and you know your slacking and don't want to fail. I shall try to get at least 30mins daily of skipping done and see how it improves my cardio, legs and weight with training.

Gyming It Up.

So I went back to gym after feeling depressed about not "feeling" anything new or old. When I went back, all my tricks were low outside and inside.

After coming back this time, though, I worked on my step-up moves, and some new ones over time I realized that I could do all my old moves again to a good standard which made me very happy :) I also was working on doing standing sides and fronts, which I need to be able to do on the spot and off things much like websters if I want to do kong precisions then one of those moves.

I hope that I can get all the moves done that I want in a few months, the goals are below.

  • Standing Sideflip
  • Standing Webster
  • Cork Screws.
  • J-Step Gainers
  • Cheat Gainers
  • Cartwheel Sideflips
  • Round Off Back-tucks

Tricking Practice.

So on Sunday myself, Azza, Yaz, Sam & James went tricking after seeing Azza practicing some websters on Saturday and his attempt at a side. I really wanted to try websters again as in the past I had never really got the whole step up ones down. I never really pushed upwards and the footing always was a issue for me too, knowing which foot to use.

I also got Azza to try sides with a split-foot take off. I also went for websters, the step-up technique is far easier to learn and to my amazement my body is more conditioned and did what I wanted it to do. So I got used to doing the websters off things and even using a step-up to go up and off a ledge.

Me, Yaz and Azza were doing various step up websters off the raised grass of the golf bunkers, having a few bails too it was a good learning curve. Some of the bails which happened were featured in npghey volume 8.
